Shoe Review: Aerosoles Eyelet Slides

Shoeaholics Anonymous Disclosure

I recently ordered these What’s What by Aerosoles Eyelet Slides from Famous Footwear to wear next week while I’m in Chicago. I wanted a pair of   half-way dressy black slides to look nice yet be comfortable enough to walk in, plus not break the bank. These are currently on sale for $19.99 at FamousFootwear.com (regularly $39.99). I plan to wear them with black walking shorts and no socks (I think that’s obvious).

The heel height is perfect for me (2 1/4″ wedge with 3/4″ platform), and they are very comfortable.   The vamp strap is high enough and tight enough that I don’t even have to “scrunch my toes” to keep them on while I walk. I only wish the buckle strap and trim were not so “glossy” – not sure why, just a personal opinion. I guess I could rough them up? Either way, I still recommend them.

Sophisticated with classic details, the Eyelet slide sandal from What’s What by Aerosoles is sure to suit your style needs. It features an open toe, decorative buckle detail and slight wedge heel. Fabric and faux-leather upper with ornamental buckle. Faux-leather lining. Rubber outsole with wedge heel.

Barkley PR sent me a Famous Footwear gift card to facilitate my review.
All opinions are my own.

Update: Here’s a pic of me wearing my Aerosoles Eyelet Slides in New York City (August 2010):
