Prom Pick: Jacqueline Ferrar Marissa

Shoeaholics Anonymous Disclosure

We have three girls in our household who are going to prom this year – yes, three! While my twin daughters are only sophomores (only juniors and seniors are invited to attend prom), they both got asked by older boys to attend as their guests. Now you’re probably wondering, who is the third girl attending prom this year? It’s certainly not me as I think that form of cougar-ism is illegal (ha), and I certainly would not let my twelve year attend even if she got asked, as she is way too young! But we currently have a foreign exchange student staying with us from Germany, and she is enrolled as a junior so get to go as well. So now we must go shopping for three formal dresses – God help me!

My daughter Macy found a hot pink ruffly dress full of sparkly rhinestones that she fell in love with from Von Maur.   Luckily she has her own job (even if it is just working at a grocery store) to be able to fork out the $300+ that most prom dresses 2011 are costing.

Macy has been searching for some silver heels with rhinestones to complement her dress. If money was no object, she’d no doubt buy some fabulous Jimmy Choo or Christian Louboutin heels, but since obviously money is a big factor, I was happy when she showed me these heels that she liked…

Luckily Macy found a bargain with these Jacqueline Ferrar Marissa Sandals (available in silver or gold) currently on sale for $39.99 with Free Shipping from JCPenney.com (regularly $60)

Hollywood glamour is laid at your feet in these dazzling bejeweled heels.

  • synthetic upper
  • open toe
  • rhinestone embellished T-strap
  • side buckle at ankle
  • 4 7/16″ heel
  • synthetic sole

Okay, one girl down, two to go!   At first we suggested that the foreign exchange student borrow one of the twins’ cocktail dresses from a previous dance, but I think it’d be fun to take her shopping for a formal dress as well. Stay tuned.
