When I first heard of the store name “Charlotte Russe”, I honestly thought of “old women” clothing. Then when I was in Omaha, Westroads recently opened a Charlotte Russe store for me to investigate, and I was totally surprised by the junior contents. My teenager daughter loved it! And I was impressed with the high fashion footwear collection with reasonable prices. Check out CharlotteRusse.com to see for yourself!

Excerpt from The Consumerist:
Zaz Lamarr meant to return some shoes to Zappos, but her mom passed away and, naturally, she just didn’t have time. Zappos arranged to have UPS come pick up the shoes—and then sent her flowers:
When I came home this last time, I had an email from Zappos asking about the shoes, since they hadn’t received them. I was just back and not ready to deal with that, so I replied that my mom had died but that I’d send the shoes as soon as I could. They emailed back that they had arranged with UPS to pick up the shoes, so I wouldn’t have to take the time to do it myself. I was so touched. That’s going against corporate policy.
Yesterday, when I came home from town, a florist delivery man was just leaving. It was a beautiful arrangement in a basket with white lilies and roses and carnations. Big and lush and fragrant. I opened the card, and it was from Zappos. I burst into tears. I’m a sucker for kindness, and if that isn’t one of the nicest things I’ve ever had happen to me, I don’t know what is.
You can read the actual gal’s blog post here. Just another good reason to shop at Zappos.com!

When I read my job description as Office Manager of our church, it stated “strive to be responsible stewards who share our diverse gift to help souls get to Heaven”. Is that a big responsibility or what? Also how do you measure job performance for that? Anyway, everytime I get online and look for “Soles on Sale” it reminds me of my job and “saving souls”. Yes, I do have a real job and do not just blog on shoes for a living.

In high school, I had canvas sneakers in every color from white to black and teal to red, to match all my outfits. And when I was in high school, my dream job was to produce TV commercials (which I never pursued), but I honestly like to watch commercials and critique them (especially the Super Bowl commercials). I really liked this new
ShoeBuy.com TV commercial (watch it above) - maybe it’s the creativity, or maybe it’s because I just really like shoes. I also like to shop at
ShoeBuy.com that carries over 400 brands and over 500,000 products with Free Shipping and Free Returns.

I love Masseys.com because they offer an easy credit plan, so you can order shoes with NO money down and low monthly payments! But I love them even more now because they are having a HUGE sale that you can combine with the deferred billing option and save up to 50%! If I had to only pick one pair (trust me, I’m ordering more), I’d pick the Bistro sandals by Jessica Bennett (shown above), as they remind me of my Franco Sarto Giros and they are only $29.99 (regularly $99.95)! Shop Now (and pay later) while the selection is good! (and your size is in stock)

I watched several episodes of What Not to Wear last weekend as they were having a marathon on TLC. If anyone else is like me, it was hard to not to notice they showed Zappo’s shopping bags or boxes on all of them. Great advertising for Zappos.com huh?

Am watching the TODAY show this morning where Meredith Viera is giving a sneak peak of the new shoe department at Saks Fifth Avenue flagship store in New York City that plans to open to the public tomorrow. 10,000 square feet holding over 100,000 shoes! The department, which takes up the whole eighth floor, is so big that it has been granted its own ZIP code, 10022-SHOE!
So I ventured over to Saks.com to find a picture to share, and saw this promo…
Receive Free Exclusive Limited Edition Collectible Stamps, created by our favorite shoe designers (Christian Louboutin, Jimmy Choo, Stuart Weitzman, Valentino and Giuseppe Zanotti) with any Saks’ Shoe purchase with Code: SHOE. I wonder if we can buy those stamps from the post office? If so, I’m gonna frame some.
