Why do so many people ask for and get slippers for Christmas? Both my husband and son asked for slippers this year - that is a first. Neither of them have ever worn them before. My daughter Ali, on the other hand, has always liked slippers. She has a pair like these Minnetonka Sheepskin Mule Slippers (available at Shoebuy.com, $59.95), but not only wears them in the house, but as regular shoes, too. As for me, I personally I do not own a pair, nor do I want any. One thing about it, finding slippers during the holidays seems to be easy as every store has them for sale.

The title for these shoes at Zappos is “Shoes for Lovely People Olivia Heel“, I’m wondering who gets to decide if one is Lovely enough to wear them?! Do you have to submit a photo, and then Zappos will make the decision whether to process the order or not?

One would think as much as I like shoes, I would have a lot of every style, but that is not true. I tend to lean towards something with a heel for all seasons. As for tennis shoes, I buy maybe one pair every 5 years or so. When we were Christmas shopping, I came accross these Nike Air Tri-D Run II on sale at Scheels. I thought about it a lot, and I think the gray with a touch of pink looks good (it’s technically Metallic Zinc/Coral Chalk). I plan to break them in tonight while playing shuffle board. In case you’re looking for a pair, I also found them on sale online at Zappos.com.
