Lisa Picarille was the moderator of our Content that Kills session in Boston, and wore these cute Aerosoles Lodge Ball Wedges in Seaweed (also available in Black). Being a big fan of Aerosoles, I just had to get a picture of them to share.  Lisa claims they are very comfortable, and I thought they looked very appealing with her outfit.  Much better than the Lisa’s “fandals” with socks for the GeekCast 31: The Hot Mess (note Jim Kukral in his Mandals in the video as well).

A friend and I were out shopping last week, and she was immediately drawn to these Rampage Barcelona slingback wedge open toe sandals in plaid pink madras.  She said how much she loved them, and just as I said, “What will you wear them with?”, she said at the exact same time, “These will go with everything!”  Obviously we have different matters of opinion.  She wears a lot of pinks and greens, so they will match her attire nicely.  I don’t think I’ll be borrowing them. One of my friends is a nurse in a busy doctor’s clinic.  She told me she absolutely loves her white Mary Jane Crocs! With the recent snowstorms, she opted one day to wear tennis shoes instead of her Crocs, and she said her feet hurt so bad afterwards that she nows wears her Crocs everyday to work. My aunt and uncle milked cows for many years on the farm for their livelihood, and my aunt still collects about anything Holstein-cow related. In fact, that is her kitchen’s theme.

As you read this, I will be in New York City with my mother for Ad-Tech. Ah, the joys of Wordpress being able to edit the timestamp to post in the future while away. Anyway, my mom wanted some new shoes before our trip, so she opted for these Women’s Skechers Bikers Jersey Sandals (yes, they are sandals).  And I asked her to write up a blurb on why she chose these particular shoes, and she responded…

Yes, those are the exact shoes I bought.  I thought they were very comfortable and kind of sporty looking with my T&C shirt and slacks.  I liked the look of them right away, but was told by the salesperson that her mother had a pair and thought they were really comfortable.  That’s what really sold me.  I also have the problem with my foot and they are soft in the back and were comfortable all day long on my part of the foot that has the plate and screws. ~ Mom

Finding a pair of comfortable fitting shoes for my mom is not an easy task, but this shoe sounds like a winner.  Although if a salesperson told me their mom bought some shoes I was looking it, I’d run thinking “old lady shoes”.  I hope mom’s salesperson was a teenager!

I attended a Halloween Oktoberfest party and was quite camera happy (schnapps may have been involved).  Since brown mules seem to be my absolute favorite shoes, I asked two of the guests if I could take pics of their shoes. The pic on the left is of LifeStride brown mules and the pic on the right is of Tommy Hilfiger brown clogs (they went perfect with her German Beer Maiden Costume).
