Last Friday, I went to Sioux City with some girlfriends to go shopping. And one of my favorite stops is at Shoe Carnival! They always have some good deals going on. The current storewide deal was Buy One, Get One Half Off, but they ran a “20 minutes only” special on the Clearance shoes – Buy One, Get One Free! I walked away with White Mountain ankle boots and Victoria Spenser tall boots for $20! I wore the shorter boots out Saturday night, and they looked nice! But next time I will wear thicker trouser socks as the top of the boot kept digging into my shin.
I tried on a few pairs of running shoes as well while shopping as I have a new personal trainer (and he’s cute!) that’s been motivating me run. I’ve been wearing my Everlast Fitness Trainers, but they are a size 8 and a tad big even with thick socks. I really need a size 7.5. Guess I’ll have to go shoe shopping some more!

I had been eye’ing the Rialto Patch Stick Mules on Kohls.com (sold out now), but couldn’t justify spending $45 on another pair of brown mules (I think I have over a dozen pair now). So while in Denver last weekend (NU vs CU game sucked), I did my standard shoe shopping. I found these I-swear-exact-replicas made by White Mt. at Ross for only $14.99! Sold! Not sure I like them as well after wearing them as my pant legs covered the lightest brown, and the darkest brown is almost black looking. Oh well, I’m not out much. I couldn’t find them online for you, but I did find some other White Mt. Darius Patchwork Mules that I may have to invest in!

I found this Portsmith thong sandal by White Mountain for only $9 on clearance, what a great deal. The details are fun–such as the whip-stitched footbed, the beaded shield, and the contrast stitching. I know it’s November and I should be thinking boots and shoes instead of sandals, but this was too good to turn down. Come next summer it will be like having brand new shoes. Not sure if you can find the in-store deal I did, but they are cute enough to pay the full price.
White Mt. Portsmith Sandals on sale for $29.99 from Shoes.com (regularly $49.99)
