I had a $10 off Famous Footwear Rewards certificate, so just had to check out what Famous Footwear had on sale. I wouldn’t want the coupon to expire unused. I found these Rocket Dog Women’s Joint Plaid Sneakers in Navy on sale for $20 minus my coupon = $10! Regularly $39.99!!
I thought my daughters would lay claim on them, but Macy informed me ”they don’t go with anything.” I disagree! In the last week, I’ve wore them with my Husker tshirt, my TheNerds.net tshirt, and my ShoppingBookmarks.com navy pullover (shown) and gotten no complaints.

I had bought some brown plaid surfer shorts and decided I needed a new pair of shoes to go with them. These Rocket Dog Jasper Sneakers were perfect! I am not much for sandals, so these worked well with my shorts, and although I bought them to go with those shorts, I’ve been wearing them all the time with my jeans, too. Available from Shoes.com with Free Shipping!

While at Herberger’s last week, I picked up a pair of these Rocket Dog Juliet Skimmers for my daughter, Mallory, on sale for under $20! They sell for $45.95 at Zappos.com. Fun and sporty skimmers that are perfect for hanging out or running around town. Canvas upper. Criss-cross band with hook-and-loop fastener. Cushioned insole. Vulcanized rubber sole.

I rarely wear socks in the summer. So while shopping in Denver this past weekend, I was estactic to find these Nike Free 4.0 running shoes that are made especially for bare feet! I also picked up a couple pairs of closed-toe casuals, Blowfish Sweetart Mary Jane (they tend to run small, had to get one size bigger) and Rocket Dog Putters (in Tribal Brown). These are perfect for days when my toenails need a touch-up. But since I started using O.P.I. brand nail polish (I buy mine through eBay for less than salon prices), my polish rarely chips before I want to change colors.

I decided I need to make a pact that if I buy a new pair of shoes, I should get rid of a different pair so that my closet does not runneth over with shoes. Maybe I’ll start that next week. Or the week after. Here’s the shoes I bought this week while in Denver…
Of course, my daughters, who all inherited my shoeaholicism, tend to get jealous when I buy only myself new shoes, so I brought them home each a new pair as well… (and the best part is that the I can fit into the twins’ sizes!)

My just-turned-teen daughter is infatuated with Rocket Dog sneakers. For some reason, though, everytime I hear her say “Rocket Dog”, the song “Rocky Top, Tennessee” starts playing in my head. Crazy, I tell ya.
She persuaded Grandma to buy her Rocket Dog Joint sneakers
for her birthday. I couldn’t justify the purchase as kids out-grow shoes so fast. But while shopping at Shoe Carnival yesterday, they had an incredible ten minute sale where I was able to get her the Rocket Dog Axis Khaki Camo sneakers for only $7.50! They sell at Zappos for $58.95! If they would have had my size, I would have grabbed a pair myself!
