Perks of Shoeaholicism

I was making my Mailbox Monday video yesterday of all the cool stuff I got in the mail last week, and realized I got a lot of cool “shoe” stuff recently (the perks of being the President of Shoeaholics Anonymous), so thought I’d make a quick video review of such. This was my first attempt with this video camera, so I apologize for the crappy sound.

I even wore my “Will Work 4 Shoes” tshirt by coincidence.

Tom’s Shoes sent me the ”For Tomorrow: The Tom Shoes Story” DVD (that was played during the Tribeca Film Festival this year) after I wrote a blog post about how TOMS gives a pair of shoes to a child in need for every pair of Tom’s shoes sold!

ShineToGo.com offers convenient all-in-one, no mess shoe polishers that include a polish applicator and buffer with real cream polish.

Achilles Heel Shields (try saying that three times real fast) are shoe care devices designed to protect the heel of dress shoes, athletic shoes, cowboy boots and high-heels (as I demonstrated on my Mootsies Tootsies heels) from scuffs and damage while driving.

Solestruck.com was nice enough to offer both Squeak and me any pair of shoes we’d like from their site.  Squeak chose the Kenneth Cole Reaction Glam Girl Sandals. I was wanting a pair of black booties, but the original pair I received I wasn’t digging.  I felt a bit guilty for admitting so, but knew I wouldn’t wear them after seeing them in the flesh.  The nice folks at Solestruck emailed me a free return shipping label, and I got a new pair of shoes within a couple of days (they offer fast, free shipping).  I now can’t wait to wear my new BC Footwear Jelly Donut Foldover ankle boots with jean to the next football game!  Thank you Solestruck!

Kim Boosts More Brown & Black

Posted by kim on March 20, 2008

I was in Omaha yesterday and got to see the new DSW store for the first time, and can you believe I didn’t buy anything there?!  I can’t either, but I did manage to buy 5 (yes, five) other pairs of shoes!

Kim's Shoes from Famous Footwear

Shes shown above are from Famous Footwear (BOGO plus coupons)…
What’s What by Aerosoles Saddle Up Black Mules I think these are being phased out and replaced by the Aerosoles Cinch Worm Mule (I want these in brown!)
Eurostep Over The Top Brown

Kim's Shoes from Kohl's

And these from were from Kohl’s (on clearance, my middle name)…
Union Bay Brown Bits Loafers
Mootsies Tootsies Never Wrong Black Satin Heels I have the the perfect black velvet dress with rhinestones to wear these with – problem is I’ve never had an occasion to wear the dress yet, but if I do, I’ll now have the perfect shoes for it!
Mootsies Tootsies Mo Amust in Dark Brown I already have these in Black and have worn several times, so think these may make good church shoes.

Mad Over My Mules

Posted by kim on June 15, 2007

Long time readers will know that my favorite shoes are Mules, and I’m partial to Brown Mules.  I think I may now own more pairs of brown mules than black sandals! Yesterday, my cousin (who is pregnant with twins!) and I went to Sioux City with our main goal of going to Sam’s Club (because my sister ruined my last trip).  We did manage to get some mall shopping in, and I came away with 2 new pairs of brown mules.

The first pair I bought was a pair of Mudd Patchwork Clogs, which are very similar to the Kenzie patchwork clogs I wanted, but are no longer available.  Then I got a pair of Mootsies Tootsies Moaqualina Mules in Medium Brown (pictured).  I already have this style in black and have wore them quite a bit.
