When I logged into Facebook today (you are a Fan of Shoeaholics Anonymous, right?), I saw that Lulu’s just posted these Jeffrey Campbell K-Genius Khaki Belt Appeal Canvas Wedge Boots ($154 from LuLus.com).  I honestly would never wear them, but there is something about them that obviously caught my eye and my attention enough to blog about them.  Just not sure what!

We always knew that Jeffrey is a genius. Now we have a shoe to prove it. The Jeffrey Campbell K-Genius Khaki Belt Appeal Canvas Wedge Boots are so awesome you just have to have them. The slightly faded olive canvas upper is split, then divinely decorated with six, tan leather belts and large, antique looking, brass buckles. A 7″ zipper runs up the inside. Platform wedge measures 3/4″ at toe and 4″ at heel. Soft, leather lining and cushioned insole with handmade Ibiza last. Non skid rubberized sole. Fit is true to size. I can’t say I’m a huge a fan of these Jeffrey Campbell All Stud Combat Boots in Black, but they are hot commodity this winter and selling out fast.  We found them still available in limited sizes from Singer22.com, $275.

This frigid weather makes me dream of the beach, toes in the sand. Actually it’s more like the “Toes” song by the Zac Brown Band, “Toes in the Water, Ass in the Sand.”  But spring break will be here before we know it. And then  summer will creep up on us.  Are your toes ready for sandal weather?

Jeffrey Campbell Fishtail Braid Sandals

I love getting professional pedicures, having my feet pampered and toes painted up in fun colors. But most of the time, I trim and paint my toenails myself (I can surf the net at the same time with one foot up on my desk). I prefer O.P.I. Nail Lacquer as it can last for weeks without chipping.

Having previously worked at a dermatology clinic, I’ve seen a lot of gross looking toenails, where the nails are yellow and cracked and outright disgusting looking.  Before working there, I would have presumed that was just bad hygiene, but I now know it’s actually a fungal infection called Onychomycosis.  I had to learn about nail fungus, and I learned not to pre-judge people by their looks.
