Hi, I bought these gold suede flats from Zappos and they are absolutely beautiful in person, but I can’t for the life of me figure out what to wear them with! I was shopping at ShopKo last week, and just couldn’t resist these Nike Slides that were on sale for $14.99.  They only come in full sizes, and since I’m a size 7 1/2, I first opted for the size 8, but that was too big/loose.  The size 7 fits perfectly.

I’ve been wanting a new pair of athletic slides to replace my Adidas slides that I ruined while painting.

Now today I see these exact same Nike Benassi Women’s Slides are on sale for only $9.99 from Sports Authority! Regularly $18.99.  Maybe I should invest in a 2nd pair! I highly recommend them as I wore them today and they are quite comfortable with and without socks.  I’ll probably wear them without socks, but my daughter insists that it’s “in” to wear white socks with them.

The latest issue of Glamour Magazine (6/08) tells us to “Dress up your look with high heels. Chunky or platform styles balance out cropped-length pants.” And they featured these L.A.M.B. Women’s Gypsy Heel in Brown, $349.99 from Heels.com.  I like them, I just wish the heel height and the price tag weren’t so high!

Yesterday, I hosted a Mother’s Day luncheon for my family.

They are SO cute on her!  Well, she’s cute in whatever she wears, but I may be a little prejudice.

Mary Wales Loomis makes her own shoes, and I have to admit they look pretty impressive!  She even wrote a book Make Your Own Shoes detailing exactly how to make a pair of shoes from start to finish.  Seems to have good reviews on Amazon, if you’re interested.  Anyone else ”made their own shoes”?  If so, please email us a picture to share!

I’m wondering if it’s time for me to make a change in my shoe styles. Seems as if I usually end up buying pretty much the same style and heel height. This Tenara from Nine West (in Black, Bronze & Gold) this may be the one. I like the chain ornament, as it really dresses it up, and the metallic covered high heel adds to the look.

This “will work for shoes” shirt fits me to a tee. Just yesterday I had a discussion with a co-worker explaining my theory on the need or want rule. Think about it, we all need shoes, maybe not 100 pair, but over all we still need shoes. This is just one of the fun T-shirts you can find on SnorgTees.com.  I pretty sure you will seeing me wearing this sooner or later, the key is what kind of shoes do I need to go with it?

These have got to be the ugliest golf shoes boots I have even seen. Who would honestly wear these? Really, when I think of golf, I think of a warm sunny day and no wind. I am not thinking Gore-Tex® boots. While the ad may say “Made for a true innovator of the fairways, this breakthrough women’s specific style fuses the best technology with the functional fashion of a boot.” I’m wondering what Puma was thinking. In all honesty, Puma has some great golf shoes, but these Puma Concorde GTX HI Women’s just are just plain ugly.  If you disagree, they are available from Zappos.com.

I think I got my shoe addiction from my mother.  I’m pretty sure I now own more pairs than her, but she loves shoes as well.  And I’ve given her shoes as presents for various birthdays, holidays, even Mother’s Day. In fact after seeing the above email from Shoes.com, I think that’s what I may get her this year as well!
