Louboutin's at Neiman Marcus

I saw these really over the top Louboutin’s at Neiman Marcus this week. I don’t know how much they cost because I was too intimated by them; sharp pointy studs, red patent leather, lace, zipper bow and trim, and of course the signature red on the bottom.

I investigated and found them online at the Neiman Marcus website, and they are called “Candy”, no lie! And the price? $835. Happy Shoe Shopping!

Christian Louboutin Candy Lace & Patent Spike Pump

The boldest of hardware forms the perfect foil to feminine lace.

Choose red patent leather with black lace or black/tonal. Goldtone hardware. Crescent cap toe with spikes. Zipper bow detail. Mesh lace shank with grosgrain trim. 4″ patent-covered heel. Signature red sole. Made in Italy.

Jessica Simpson Metallic Platforms

Something I find relaxing is sitting down in the evening and flipping through catalogs. It can be clothing, for the home, gardening or whatever. Last night I got all snuggled in and was looking through the Victoria Secret catalog, and I just could not get over the shoes. Don’t get me wrong I shop at VS, and I have even bought shoes from there before. But I just could not get over the height of all the heels and platforms that are out.

These Jessica Simpson Metallic platform sandals are a perfect example. I just can not imagine walking in 5 inch heels!  Available for $89 from Victoria’s Secret, but on sale for only $59.90 from Nordstrom.com:

  • Jessica Simpson ‘Cally’ Sandal
  • Tonal studs embellish a caged platform sandal fashioned from cracked metallic leather for a stunning look.
  • Back zip closure.
  • Wrapped heel and platform.
  • Approx. heel height: 5″ with 1″ platform (comparable to a 4″ heel).
  • Leather upper/synthetic lining/rubber sole.

Looking for Red Mary Jane Pumps?

I met Lesley Eccles (co-founder of FanDuel.com) from Scotland, and she was wearing the most divine red mary-jane heels, which I believe she said were from Revel (a UK brand). Not being able to find them online for purchase, I found some similar alternatives:

Sofft Corine in Red Hot/Red, $99.95 from Zappos.com

BP. Maddie Pump in Red Patent, $59.95 from Nordstrom.com

And if you want a brighter red…

Franco Sarto Essence in Red Suede, $88.95 from ShoeBuy.com

Demonia Vanity in Red Patent, $39.95 from ShoeBuy.com
