Yesterday on the Today Show, Hoda Kotb and Kathy Lee Gifford had a “Fish Pedicure” where teethless fish actually nibble away at your feet, exfolliating skin by removing dead skin and calluses. Hoda said it felt good and tingly. These “Dr. Fish Massages” are available in 15, 20 & 30 minute seesions at Yvonne Hair & Nails at two locations in Virginia. Wonder how many other salons will jump on the bandwagon now?
I may never own a pair of actual Manolo Blahnik shoes, but I found the next best thing available for a fraction of the price that will probably end up giving me more shoe satisfaction! Amazon carries these books: Manolo Blahnik Drawings and Blahnik by Boman: Shoes, Photographs, Conversation which would not only make great coffee table books in my bonus room, but I thought I could frame some of the pictures to hang in my house!
Jon is one of my bestfriend’s son. He is a good kid and can get away with wearing whatever he wants. He, his dad and grandpa went to Chicago last week to a couple baseball games. While there were there they went to Niketown, and Jon picked out these multicolored Nike shoes. As you can see they are pretty bright with a pink swoosh and are not something I would wear with a red shirt. But Jon on the other hand can pull it off and it looks ok.
Today I wore a simple white shirt and black walking shorts, sounds plain huh? Well it’s all about the accessories! Add a necklace and great shoes, and it’s an outfit. I rarely buy anything at full price, but these red sandals were something I could not pass up. I got them at DSW when I was shopping with my daughter, and I love ‘em.
I saw these pics of Barbie shoes over on Crispy’s Shoes Blog (and I believe they belong to Hermine Vermeij), but the first thing that came to mind was a card that Squeak told me about, “I want to be Barbie. That bitch has everything.” So true.
Man, I used to love to play with Barbie dolls. I especially loved to go to my grandma’s house to play with Squeak’s old Barbie dolls. My three daughters never got into them as much as I did, against my much delight. But I still coin the guest room as “Barbietown” as it’s full of Barbie houses and cars and totes of Barbie and friends. And it also houses my Holiday Barbie collection. I have every Barbie in that collection from 1989 still new in the box. The first one debuted in 1988 and goes for a pretty penny if you can find one. I’ll have to go downstairs and take a pics of the Barbies to share, and then maybe I’ll line up all the Barbie shoes!
