I am not near the fan of Desperate Housewives as Squeak is, although I do like their fashion sense.  We missed the last episode on Sunday when her and I went to the Funny Bone comedy club.  But her husband DVR’d it, so all is well.  According to SeenOn.com, Maria Cross (aka Bree Van de Kamp) wore a pair of green Sloggers Women’s Garden Clogs on the 4/27/08 episode.  They are available from Amazon.com for only $15.95.

Last week, we went out of town and met with my son’s oncologist and found out that he is in complete remission. Yeah!

He needed to get back to class so we could not go out for a celebration dinner, so instead we went shopping!

I treated myself to these City Style Slingback Wedges from New York and Co (my favorite store). They came in several colors, but I went outside of box and chose the Aegean Print.

The best part was, they were only $24.95 plus the store was offering ”Buy One Get One 50% off - Mix & Match”!

Both Kate Bosworth and Heidi Montag were spotted this month wearing Chloe Wedge Booties. I don’t like them at all.  I can think of better things to do with $750.

I almost forgot about my white Minnetonka soft sole back-zip moccasins I had until I saw an online pic of some similiar ones.  So, I dug them out of the closet for a snapshot.  I haven’t wore them in twenty years, but I don’t think I could part with them.  I remember seeing them in a western store, and my mother bought them for me as a gift as I liked them so much.  The zipper didn’t zip all the way up the back, so my grandmother put in rivets for holes under the fringe (she was an upholsteror), and I used white bread ties to hold them together.  I always wanted to find some type of traction to apply to the bottoms of them as my footprints are embedded on the bottom.  I found the exact same brand/style is still made and for sale at Sheplers.com (Item #049444)!  And they are only $31.99.  For some reason, I was thinking my mother paid a lot more than that for mine, even twenty years ago. I also remember owning a pair of Minnetonka Classic Fringed soft sole brown booties when I was younger, but out-grew them, so I’m sure my mom gave them to the Goodwill.

I’ve always liked Steve Madden shoes (especially the ones I added yesterday), but then I saw these Bukled Bright Multi peep toe pumps and Bombb Bright Multi chic booties .  WTF were they thinking? And what’s up with the misspelled names? Honestly would anyone ever wear these?  And if so, why?

I have Orange on my mind. I just got one of those odd facts emails with one item stating nothing in the American language rhymes with the word “Orange”. We went out this past weekend to hear a new band, and their name was Rhymes with Orange. Then Sunday, my friend Mary was showing off her new Orange shoes. I looked for the ones she bought but could not find them. These Elettra Orange Patent Sandals by Nine West at Zappos were the closest I could find to hers. I like them - they are a bit sassy and electric.

My weakness for shoes includes all kinds of shoes, and being a golfer, it includes golf shoes as well. Not so sure I would wear these Michel Perry Golf Sandals out on the course, but they would work for the club house. You have to look close to see the textured material, as it is made with the exact same print you find on your golf ball. I actually like them but not for €425 (which equates to $850 US Dollars)!

I am a big Target clearance shopper. I found these adidas soccer cleats in the sporting goods section for only $13 (Tatym is co-caption of her co-ed soccer team).  And I picked up these Xhilaration sable ribbon ballet flats for myself for only $10.  These and other cute styles are available online at Target.com.
