Today I have on these easy-to-wear Peter Kaiser Carmia Boots. I’ve paired them up with black tights, a denim skirt and black sweater. I must say it’s a pretty cute look, a little casual for work but still cute. The stretch suede makes them fit nice and snug to my leg. And if you don’t like the steel gray color, they come in black as well.
About Peter Kaiser: In 1838 Peter Kaiser founded a shoemaker’s work shop that quickly became one of the first industrial shoe manufacturing enterprises of international importance. The focus was and still is on elegant ladies’ footwear, following the fashions of the day. Like the diamond on the hand of a beautiful woman: elegant shoes from Peter Kaiser are a highlight for the leg. ‘Jewelry for your legs’ - that is how Peter Kaiser interprets the brand name’s additional value and the product’s class.

Glamour Magazine (Feb ‘08 issue) featured these canvas ballet flats (in Multi-Colored, Bottle Blue and Red Sherry, respectively) from OldNavy.com (only $19.50) as a “so cheap, so chic” fashion accessory that’s less than $30. Also featured were Converse khaki pants ($28) and an Isaac Mizrahi sweater ($28), both available from Target.com.

I’m always looking for new shoe storage options, and came across this Cedar Folding Shoe Rack. Looks like a contraption my mother used to have in the utility room to hang wet clothing on if we couldn’t hang them up outside on the clothes line.
And the description made me chuckle…
Specially designed to hold up to 12 pairs of women’s shoes, this modular space-saver uses natural cedar wood to repel insects and keep closets smelling fresh.
I’ve never had a problem with insects attracted to my shoes and hope I never do! If interested, you can buy a Cedar Folding Shoe Rack from Gaiam.com. I’d just like to know where to buy the cute mary-jane mules on the top rack!

Last week I bought some ankle weights (on clearance at Target), with good intentions to wear them with my new Everlast shoes when the ice and snow are gone to start getting in shape.
Hopefully I’ll get the same results as if I were wearing these Weighted Walking Shoes, which I didn’t even know existed until today (good to learn something new everyday).
No time for your daily work out? Wear Muscle Trainer Sneakers, and walk & burn up to 300 Kcal in 30 minutes. You can increase your heart rate and oxygen intake by 25% and decrease your body fat. They look like regular sneakers but they 3 to 4 times heavier than regular fitness shoes: up to 3 lbs each. Small metal balls in the sole provide weight and enough flexibility to allow balanced natural foot movement. A thick cushioned sole provides extra support. You can use them on treadmill for a more intense work out.

These “Nothing But A Hound Dog” sassy little pumps from Naughty Monkey can be found on Zappo’s. I get a kick out of reading names of shoes and also shoe companies. It’s almost as entertaining as watching people at an airport or concert. Anyway these are just as cute as their name, and I can see myself wearing them. These ultimate feminine cool kitten heels in plaid fabric (available in blue, green and grey) would make them work for for several looks. $68.95 at Zappos.com (and free shipping)!

When I saw the term “yoga sandals“, I thought “who wears sandals to do yoga?”
But then I read the description…
“Spread your toes” is a favorite yoga teacher mantra for a reason. Separating your toes improves your balance, flexibility and alignment. Worn around the house or on errands, our therapeutic sandals retrain your feet to do just that while also helping to relieve painful foot conditions.
Interesting indeed. They still look like pedicure sandals to me.
Therapeutic strengthening yoga sandals are available from Gaiam.com.

ICONot see myself purchasing a pair of blue ICON dress flats by GWYNETH. I agree the buckle adds a funky twist to this popular style, and the thick top stitching brings contrast to the patent leather, it’s just the color of blue that throws me off. I have no idea what outfit in my closet that I could pair these up with?

I knew you could buy shoe stretchers, but I thought they were only for the width. I thought wrong! These FootFitter Pro Two-Way Shoe Stretchers can widen the shoe in oppressive places plus lengthen the shoe. What a perfect solution for those “I just had to buy these shoes even though they were too tight” shoes!
Plus they allow you to widen your shoes exactly in areas where pressure points are located, offering relief for bunions and hammertoes. I may suggest this for my mother as her feet seem to be different widths since breaking her ankle.
FootFitter Pro Two-Way Shoe Stretcher is available from Amazon.com for only $15.95. Available in seven different sizes, in different widths for men or women. Includes three corn pieces and excellent instructions.

Everlast seems to be diversifying their product line from not just boxing products, but to include fitness training products as well. The fine folks from Everlast (thanks Christine!) sent me these Spirit II Fitness Trainers in White/Blue to test out, and I love ‘em! I’ve been thinking about investing in a new pair of cross-trainers, and I’m usually partial to Nike shoes, but these are awesome! Not only are they comfortable, but cool looking to boot! And the best part, they are afforable at only $39.99!
From their site… Now, you don’t have to sacrifice style for support Twin Air Bag cushioning provides maximum comfort and stability Genuine leather uppers offers improved breathability Double mesh panels provide ventilation, keep you cool and comfortable Reinforced lateral support for stability for strength training.
I had my daughter take a pic of me actually wearing the shoes, but the flash on my digicam illuminated the reflective material. Now if I could just get motivated about walking/running, I wouldn’t have to worry about not being seen in the dark!
