I bought these Adidas Viper Cushion running shoes from Famous Footwear to use for track practices. I am attending Dakota Wesleyan University, and our team colors are blue and white. We are also sponsored by Adidas, so these shoes seemed to be a great fit. They are cool, light weight and have dual cushioning in the heel area for more comfort, too.

Is it just me, or does anyone else have a hard time trying to figure out what to wear between sandals and boot season?
Spring / Summer= Sleeveless tops, capris and sandals.
Fall / Winter = Turtlenecks, jeans and boots.
Today is a perfect example as it’s 70ish degrees, yet it’s September. I am going to consider this Kin Ship style from Aerosoles as my in-between shoe. The peep toe and rope wedge lean to warmer weather yet the soft leather, antique hardware and lined suede give it the fall touch. Perfect! Available from ShoeBuy.com with Free Shipping!

Marc Jacobs’ spring preview show on Monday was an homage to everything backwards, according to the
Faded Youth Blog and attended by several celebrity fashionistas including Victoria Beckham and Mischa Barton. Models paraded down the runway in an array of rather unwearable and deconstructed items, including these “backward heels”.
R.E.M.’s Michael Stipe told the AP: “I was blown away. It was worth the wait. I liked the shoes with the heels in the wrong place. Pretty cool.”

OK, help me out here… Where does one wear these socks? Are they designed to be worn under skirts? Maybe a dance recital or better yet, maybe Halloween? I honestly cannot think of anyone I know that would have this item in their closet, let alone wear them in public. However, if you’re into them, there are a ton to choose from on Shoebuy.com From what I can tell Celeste Stein has the corner on this market.

My black Eastland Grenada Loafer dress shoes have to be one of my favorite pairs of shoes. Eastland’s tend to provide more cushion throughout the whole shoe and come with a removable EVA cushioned insole. Classic and sophisticated, these go wonderful with my black slacks at work, yet are still casual enough to wear with a pair of jeans. Available from Amazon.com for $64.95.

I’m not ever sure how I came across vegetarian when looking at shoes. I think that Vegetarians wear any shoes, but Vegan’s choose not to wear shoes made of leather? The best part of this ad is that the color is celery which falls in place with Vegetarian. I think they come in lime too. So, whether you’re a vegetarian or not, Shoebuy.com and Croc’s have you covered. Or your feet anyway.

Was just reading the latest issue of Glamour Magazine (September 2007 - Biggest Issue in 20 Years) and stumbled across a full page ad for Payless showing off these Hassel Collar Bootines ($29.99). In my opinion, Payless is slowing moving their focus from “cheap” shoes to “affordable” shoes. Good move.
Styles may vary by store location, but you can grab these Hassel Collar Bootines online at Payless.com (I want the black ones!) This soft faux suede platform bootine tops our list this season with its fold-over collar and 3 1/2″ stacked heel. Foot slips in with ease. Wear it with a pair of tights or slim jeans for trend-right style. Manmade materials.

A co-worker came in this morning wearing this Mary Jane inspired sneaker from Skechers. I commented how cute she looked with her denim skirt and brown T-shirt. She asked if I had noticed the owl at the heel of it, and I had not. I was more interested that the plaid had both black and brown. That’s a double bonus when combining those two colors as it makes it easier to wear with several outfits. Women’s Skechers Soulmates Reality Check Sneakers are available from ShoeBuy.com.
