Reese is Still Sexy & now Single

Did you watch the The 64th Annual Golden Globe Awards Monday night?  What did you think of Vanessa Williams’ hair?!

And then there was Reese Witherspoon’s bright bright canary yellow strapless dress.   I didn’t care for the dress, but check out the shoes! These red hot and sassy Hollywould Red Ava open toe sling-backs with over sized bows look similiar to the pumps Reese adorned on the red carpet. Smokin’ Red Hot!  Reese seems to be enjoying her single life after split from hubby, Ryan Phillippe.

Stripper Boots, Anyone?

When I brought home the new shoes I bought last week, one of my twin daughters (she is almost 13) commented that my new boots look like “stripper boots”! To which I replied, “Have you been to a strip club lately?” Um, I didn’t think so.  I intend to wear my lace-up suede boots with a long brown skirt.  But if I were on a mission to buy actual “stripper boots” to wear with just a G-string (Friday nights are amateur night at the Cockatoo Gentleman’s Club), I would buy these…

Kim’s Updated Shoe Closet

A few months ago, I shared a picture of my closet before I moved into my new house.  Here is an updated picture of it now.

I have already made mental notes of things to do different if I ever build a new house again.  The first thing being to build a bigger master closet!!  I can’t even fit all my shoes in the cubicles.

And we got hit with snow last night, and do you think I could find any of my snow boots (I know I have at least three pairs)? No.  Good thing I have kids to pawn the job off on.

I don’t know if I’d have room to share closet if I found a husband!?

Mootsies Tootsies Shoe Lovers Dream

My boyfriend and I are currently pursuing a long-distance relationship, so we frequently send each other pictures via email.  Above is the picture I took yesterday (before I went shoe shopping), and I’m wearing Mootsies Tootsies Leather Loafers (great shoes to wear while shopping, btw). Ignore my messy desk.

Mootsies Tootsies Fran

I have always been a fan of Mootsies Tootsies, and not just because it’s cool to try to pronounce the name (try saying it really fast three times - totally tongue twister).  Mootsies Tootsies Shoes are really comfortable shoes.  In fact, I’ve bought two more new pairs recently.  I got the Mootsies Tootsies Fran Slingbacks while visiting Patrick in Denver. I wore them with a pin-striped suit for Christmas Eve service.

Mootsies Tootsies AqualinaThen when I found these Mootsies Tootsies Aqualina Black Mules while shopping in Omaha, I was instantly in love! I have wore them several times with jeans and even with black dress pants.  Definitely a staple shoe in my closet.

Now I’m gonna see if I can convince Pat to share and write about some of his shoes here! C’mon, chant with me… Pat. Pat. Pat.

Kim’s Peeping Out

I had to get new tires on my vehicle today, so I had my cousin pick me up to go shopping while I waited.

I wanted to buy a new dress for when I go to Vegas next week. And I ended up with 2 dresses, slacks, a skirt, six blouses and three pairs of new shoes!  I found the peep-toe wedges and the lace-up boots at Maurices (on sale, of course), and the peep-toe slings at Cato’s.

Believe it or not, these are first peep-toe shoes I’ve bought!  I had doubts on whether I’d like them, but think they will grow on me.  These are definitely the kind of shoes to buy if you want your feet to look smaller.  My feet are already shrinking (a whole size within the last couple years), but my hips have more than made up for the shrinkage down yonder.

Nice Slides That Won’t Break Your Budget

Annie Cancun SlideWayne suggested these Annie Cancun Slides to me.  Although I like the look of them (especially the 2 3/4″ heel), I could do away with the “toady part” as many of you know I cannot stand things between my toes.

From Zappos: The “Cancun” is a versatile casual wedge that can go from a skirt to capri’s. This two-toned genuine leather thong will add to your own personal summer style. Lightly padded insole for added comfort. The stacked wedge heel will update your closet and the rubber bottom offers added stability.
