I’ve always been a fan of “Mary Jane” styled shoes, and own several pairs.  The problem is I never can find the perfect outfit to wear them with.  But, I was so excited when I first saw Target carry these fun, cute, comfortable alternative to slippers.  I love to wear them around the house (too hot to wear to bed though). I own several pairs of these as well (the picture is of my Christmas ones that I bought this year after Christmas on clearance).  If I knew how to knit, I could make my own.

Say it isn’t so. I personally don’t care for wearing the sunflower color on my feet.  But the Atlanta Journal-Constitution printed last week that yellow is the most versatile color for this transitional time of year. They recommended the Amina style high-heeled patent sandals  from Cole Haan (I couldn’t find a link for it) as the perfect footnote with a little black dress. Later, you can pair the sandals with a white dress. I was watching Who Wants to be a Millionaire last week, and one of the contestants was a NASA scientist.  He was wearing some odd looking contraptions for shoes, so I had to google them and find out more. Turns out they are called “Fivefingers” by Vibram. Honestly I wouldn’t be caught dead in them (can’t stand things between my toes), but they do appeal to those that like to run around barefoot.  Just ask Barefoot Ted.

My friend Marifer is a fan of Steve Madden pumps.  This picture of her foot was taken last year at the Real World Suite at the Palms Resort Casino in Las Vegas where MTV actually filmed the Real World Series.  We took our shoes off to jump on the beds!  Serious. Yes, there was alcohol involved.

My friend, Shumly (another avid shoe lover), keeps me up-to-date on the new shoe site sagas, namely Piperlime.com and Endless.com.  Piperlime is a division of Gap, Inc.  Whereas Endless is the love child of Amazon.com.  Both are sure to give Zappos a run for the money. But I think there are plenty of shoe addicts (and more getting online everyday) for them all to play nicely.
